Enhanced skin rejuvenation is a gentle laser treatment used to treat wrinkles, sun damage and minor imperfections. With this procedure, the skin is not removed, so you don’t have a long recovery period. The treatment reduces wrinkles and age spots, the appearance of rosacea, facial veins and broken blood vessels. Depending on your skin type and condition, you may need between three and eight treatments, with each one lasting approximately 30 minutes. The treatment lessens the appearance of wrinkles and lines by encouraging new collagen growth. While the procedure is virtually pain free, a topical anesthesia may be used. It is important to wear sunscreen after the sessions to help prevent new wrinkles from forming and to keep your skin looking younger.

How long will my face remain smooth following laser surgery?
Facial wrinkles can be eliminated or reduced beautifully with a laser, but the lasting results will depend on how well you manage factors that contribute to skin becoming wrinkled. Prolonged sun exposure and smoking will continue to cause wrinkles in skin even if you’ve had laser surgery. The best, most long-lasting results occur when patients adopt good skin hygiene and avoid wrinkle triggers.
Will the laser treatment hurt?
The actual laser treatment is not painful. However, after surgery, it is common for some swelling and discomfort to last for about a week. Follow-up treatment s will be conducted to minimize discomfort and help speed the healing process.
Is this covered by my insurance?
Insurance very rarely covers cosmetic procedures. However, some flexible payment plans will allow facial rejuvenation treatments to be used as a medical expense. Your best bet is to check with your insurance provider.
