Michael E.
Steier, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr.Michael E. Steier received his medical degree at the University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School, and completed a general surgical residency at the St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center, a New York University affiliate.
His training in cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery followed at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Steier is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and was recertified by the latter in 1986.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians and the International College of Surgeons. He is past chief of surgery and past president of the Medical Staff.
Dr. Steier retired from active surgical practice in 1998.
