Dennis Stapleton M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Dennis J. Stapleton is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit. He also achieved his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine with the honor of AOA status. He completed his internship and residencies in general surgery and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Stapleton is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the Florida Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Chest Physicians. He has been chief of surgery at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center and chairman of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL.
