James M. Scanlon, M.D.
Dr. Scanlon earned his medical degree with distinction from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He completed his internship and residency at George Washington University Medical Center and his fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center also in Washington, D.C. He is board certified in both vascular and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. His special interests and training are in minimally invasive and open surgical treatment of carotid, aortic, renal and peripheral arterial disease, as well as the treatment of venous disorders such as vein clots, varicose veins and other cosmetic vein problems. Dr. Scanlon is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
